Arizona 811 Embeds CGA Excavator Video in LMS and Ticket Creation Software
CGA is pleased to share a new case study detailing how member Arizona 811 leveraged its online platforms to further stakeholder knowledge of efficient 811 system practices. Arizona 811 incorporated CGA’s Excavator Video from the “Efficient Use of 811” video series into its online ticketing portal and learning management system (LMS) to strategically educate stakeholders on the steps that excavators can take to reduce inefficiencies that are negatively impacting the 811 process.
The “Efficient Use of 811” video series launched by CGA's Educational Programs & Marketing Committee aims to address prevalent areas of inefficiency in the damage prevention process that contribute to damages. The series provides practical and straightforward solutions that excavators and facility owner/operators can adopt in their organizations to optimize the 811 system and promote a streamlined process for all stakeholders involved.
After closely analyzing its 811 ticketing data, Arizona 811 found that 85% of ticket requests are submitted through its online ticket creation platform, Exactix. The 811 center recognized this as a valuable chance to educate excavators during their active participation in the 811 process and embedded the excavator tips video into the login page of Exactix. To further ensure widespread access to the important information presented by the video, Arizona 811 also integrated the video into its LMS, Coursettra, which complemented existing content and enhanced the overall learning experience, further empowering excavators with relevant knowledge.
Within the case study, Arizona 811 outlines the ways in which it was able to measure information retention of the excavators that viewed the video. The feedback received from excavators allowed Arizona 811 to tailor its educational efforts, including future trainings and initiatives, to align with the needs of its stakeholders.
