Sarah Magruder Lyle

President & CEO

Sarah K. Magruder Lyle is President & CEO of the Common Ground Alliance (CGA), a stakeholder-run organization dedicated to preventing damage to underground utility infrastructure and protecting those who live and work near these important assets through the shared responsibility of our stakeholders. Under her leadership, CGA focuses on building strong partnerships across the organization’s 16 stakeholder groups, developing strategies to educate about the importance of safe digging, encouraging the next generation of damage prevention practices and technologies, and implementing programs to reduce excavation-related damages to underground infrastructure.

Magruder Lyle was appointed by the Secretary of Transportation to the Department’s Liquid Pipeline Advisory Committee (LPAC) which provides guidance to the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) on regulations affecting pipeline safety standards in March of 2019.

Erika oversees the organization's operations, manages the development of the CGA's core programs and facilitates member and stakeholder engagement across all working committees.

Vice President, Marketing and Outreach

Khrysanne oversees member and stakeholder outreach, marketing for core CGA programs and events and development of educational programs and events.

Sam Hall

Vice President, Damage Prevention Institute

Sam brings more than two decades of industry experience and a strong regulatory background to his position as Vice President, where he will lead the Damage Prevention Institute's development of stakeholder metrics to drive efficiencies in the damage prevention system. In this role, Hall will also collaborate with industry leaders and key CGA committees to create a peer-reviewed accreditation process.

Steven Blaney

Data Reporting & Industry Analysis Specialist

Steven brings extensive industry experience to his work with CGA's Damage Information and Reporting Tool (DIRT), OCSI Data Collection Tool and other CGA data systems. In his role, Steven directs the analysis of damage and near miss data as well as 811 center statistics. Steven also coordinates key findings and takeaways published in the annual DIRT Report and serves as a subject matter expert on the development of case studies, research initiatives and white papers.

Manager, Meetings and Membership Services

Meghan brings over ten years of event management experience to her role as CGA’s Manager of Meetings and Membership Services. In this position, she will serve as the direct contact for members, provide membership support and manage relationships and operations for CGA meetings and events. Meghan will also work closely with members throughout the year to increase engagement at both in-person and virtual events.

Communications Director & Press Secretary

Prior to joining the CGA team, Cahill served as an Account Director at marketing agency MGH, where she led public relations, research and advertising efforts for a range of clients. Specializing in public interest and business-to-business communications, Cahill contributed significantly to CGA’s messaging and member resources development during her 11 years at MGH and will continue to do so in her new role at CGA.

Sarah manages tools and platforms that enhance stakeholder collaboration opportunities, facilitate membership engagement, and provide networking opportunities for CGA’s membership.

Project Manager, Programs & Committees

Steve joins the CGA team as Project Manager, Programs and Committees and brings two decades of damage prevention experience to our organization. In his role, Steve will work to manage/advance key programs and initiatives, as well as facilitate the efforts of our committees, task teams and working groups.

 

Brook Konopacki

Senior Director, DPI Program Participation and Compliance

Brooke comes to CGA with a blend of experience in association management, education development, and construction knowledge that will serve to build out the Damage Prevention Institute's peer review and accreditation program. Her passion for both collaboration and metric-driven decisions will ensure that all stakeholders feel engaged and confident in the process. Most recently she was Senior Director, Community and Insights at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

Manager, Education and Programs 

Lisa supports the development of educational programming and content for CGA members and stakeholders including the creation, delivery, and continuous improvement of compelling educational content that meets the goals of our members.

Lucy Reyes

Manager, Operations

Lucy manages the CGA’s day-to-day operations working closely with senior staff and consultants to coordinate accounting, financial reporting, human resources and office management. She brings to the position years of experience in operations at multiple nonprofit organizations in the Washington D.C. area.

Data Program Manager

In her role, Trish manages the implementation and execution of CGA’s data vision across the Damage Information Reporting Tool (DIRT) and other data systems that support our members. Prior to joining CGA, Schoof served as Director of Event Data at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers.

Sierra Tireman

Sierra Tireman

Program and Administrative Coordinator

Sierra provides support to current and potential members. She serves as a key resource for participants in CGA’s Damage Prevention Institute, assisting with onboarding and data reporting. Sierra comes to CGA from a company called Derse, where she was a logistics coordinator assisting clients with trade show exhibit logistics. She is a 2020 graduate of Ripon College with a degree in business management.
