Next Practices - Information Collection

Share Your Innovative Approach or Application

CGA’s Next Practices Working Groups are currently gathering information from the industry to inform the Pathways to Improving U.S. Damage Prevention report and recommendations.

Is your organization taking an innovative approach to any of the following four systemic opportunities for improving the damage prevention system identified by the Next Practices Initiative Report to the Industry?

  • Increase effective implementation of electronic white lining.
  • Pursue an accurate, accessible GIS-based mapping system/database.
  • Utilize technology/software to account for variability in demand.
  • Contractually incentivize adherence to Best Practices and address incidents via effective enforcement mechanisms.

Whether you have interesting data, are piloting a new approach, are using a novel technology application, or have established a breakthrough partnership, the Next Practices Initiative is collecting information on efficiency improvement efforts in damage prevention.
