CGA’s Next Practices Initiative is pleased to share a new living case study on how member Crown Castle incentivized adherence to damage prevention best practices. The case study, titled “Leadership Driven, Data-Informed Interventions Reduce Damages And Costs While Improving Network Reliability And Customer Satisfaction,” highlights the recent efforts of Crown Castle to create and reinforce a culture of safety within their organization by incorporating successful damage prevention interventions and practices.

The case study is part of the Next Practices Initiative’s effort to document real-world examples of improvements in action to provide other stakeholders insight into how the industry can operate more efficiently.

Within the case study, Crown Castle shares the key drivers of success that it credits with a 19% reduction in third-party and network asset damages and a 17% reduction in repair and maintenance expenses in under a year. The case study also details the timeline and scope of Crown Castle’s efforts as well as the dedicated resources the company put toward the initiative to provide considerations that other organizations should take into account when implementing similar programs.
