Discover the Impact of Subsurface Utility Mapping on Achieving Our 50-in-5 Industry Goal

 

CGA’s Technology Committee will host a webinar on Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. ET focused on the importance of subsurface utility mapping and the role it plays in decreasing system inefficiencies, improving safety and streamlining the damage prevention process. This is the first of what will be an ongoing series of webinars highlighting the innovative technologies that are contributing to our shared 50-in-5 industry goal of reducing damages by 50% over the next five years.

During the webinar, co-chairs Jim Plasynski and Nick Starke will provide an overview of the latest developments within the Technology Committee and the interesting findings that stood out to them from the recently released 2022 DIRT Report, which underscores the critical role of implementing new and innovative technologies to mitigate damages and enhance the industry's overall landscape. If you haven't had the chance to review the 2022 DIRT Report yet, we encourage you to do so.

Additionally, ProStar, a world leader in Precision Mapping Solutions will outline how their product, PointMan, aids in streamlining accurate underground mapping and reducing damages. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from one of ProStar’s clients, a utility locate field technician, about how the product has played a role in safer, more accurate locates.
