Make Your Mark on the Damage Prevention Industry at the 2024 CGA Conference & Expo!
The sold-out 2023 CGA Conference and Expo featured engaging sessions led by damage prevention professionals that explored a range of industry topics and fostered thoughtful conversations among stakeholders committed to improving damage outcomes for underground utilities. We are confident that the 2024 CGA Conference & Expo, taking place April 14-18 in Colorado Springs, Colo., will continue these meaningful discussions with a week of educational sessions, networking opportunities and the chance to explore the latest products and services that are advancing our industry.
The 2024 Call for Proposals is now open and accepting applications through Tues., Oct. 3. We invite industry professionals and subject matter experts to submit their session ideas for this year’s Conference to share their unique perspectives, experiences and insights with attendees and help inspire actionable changes as we work toward our shared goal of reducing damages by 50% over the next five years. Sessions will be held in a variety of formats to fit the session topic, including Outcome Focused Presentations, Moderated Debate/Roundtable Discussions, Panels and the CGA Engage Stage.
Key topic areas that are of interest to CGA members and conference attendees include:
- Eliminating inefficiencies in the damage prevention system
- Enforcement, exemptions and other safe digging law impacts
- Strategies to aid in the 50 in 5 initiative
- Technological advancements, including mapping, GIS and AI
- Outreach and education efforts to drive public awareness among excavators
- Progress and effectiveness measurement tools
- Reducing overnotification to streamline the 811 system
- Exploring new frontiers in stakeholder engagement
If you are a damage prevention professional interested in offering your insight and expertise to your industry peers, submit your outcome-oriented, results-forward session proposal using this application through Oct. 3, 2023. Sessions will be reviewed by CGA Committee co-chairs and members of the CGA Conference Advisory Panel. Notifications of accepted sessions will be sent by the end of year.
