Stakeholder Outreach Committee

Educating for Change

The Stakeholder Outreach Committee works with members and stakeholders across the industry to report on the latest changes to damage prevention legislation and proactively work with local stakeholders to educate state and federal policymakers regarding use of CGA Best Practices to positively impact legislation.

Stakeholder Outreach gathers and shares the tools and guidance that local stakeholders need to educate state and federal policymakers about how they can strengthen damage prevention legislation to improve public safety. By helping on-the-ground stakeholders communicate CGA’s consensus-based Best Practices, Data and other valuable program info, the Stakeholder Outreach program can positively impact damage prevention legislation across North America.

Working Committee Participation

To effectively fulfill our vision of shared responsibility, the CGA seeks input and participation from the broadest possible representation of stakeholders.  Each of the working committees is comprised of members from the 16 active stakeholder groups within the CGA. These committee members operate on a consensus basis – ensuring that all CGA initiatives carry the support of the entire damage prevention community.  CGA committees meet in-person and virtually approximately 3-4 times per year.
