Randall Schmidgall is the Vice President of US Natural Gas Pipelines and Storage Operations for TransCanada. Based in Houston, Mr. Schmidgall is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the US natural gas pipelines and storage operations. He is also responsible for the gas control and engineering for TransCanada’s natural gas assets in the US.
Mr. Schmidgall joined TransCanada in 1979 and has worked on all aspects of pipeline and compression project engineering, construction, and operations. He assumed management responsibilities in Operations in 1982 and has held numerous roles of progressive responsibility until moving to TransCanada Canadian Gas Operations as Director for the Central Region based in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2008.
In 2013, Mr. Schmidgall was appointed to his current role and remains based in TransCanada’s Houston office.
Mr. Schmidgall has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University. He is a Professional Engineer with licenses in states of Missouri and Michigan. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
